Recognized for her creative programming and “exquisitely played” concerts (CUNY’s The Brook Center), Ariadne Antipa is a pianist, conductor, educator, and concert curator residing in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has toured throughout the United States, Europe and Africa, has received first place in nearly a dozen competitions, and has appeared as concerto soloist performing works by Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, and Gershwin. 

Committed to projects which serve her community, Ariadne is founder and curator of Flight88, a music series hosted by the Cincinnati brewery Urban Artifact. Appealing to both newcomers and seasoned classical music lovers alike, Flight88 offers bi-monthly concerts where audiences are treated to exceptional live music in a casual setting. Additionally, she commissioned, produced, and edited Between You and I, a virtual choir work focused on race in America. The title comes from a child’s poem, and the piece blends three poems and participants’ personal stories to convey a message relevant in today’s world. The finished product is a virtual choir piece in four movements, with over 30 singers from around the world. 

Ariadne is proud to work in secondary education and is the Director of Choirs at Dixie Heights High School in Erlanger, Kentucky. Her students have received the highest rating offered at the local and state level assessments, including selection to perform for The Gesualdo Six, the Queen Bee marathon, and Kentucky’s All-State festival. Additionally, she is the choir director for the Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Finneytown, Ohio. Ariadne holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music (BM), the University of Michigan (MM), and the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music (DMA). Her former teachers include Ran Dank, Logan Skelton, and Rebecca Penneys. 

Outside of music, Ariadne enjoys baking pie for customers from her home cottage bakery business (Ari’s Pies) and exploring perspectives of psychology and religion. She lives in Pleasant Ridge with her husband, William and their alien-dog, Waffle.
